पश्चिम बंगाल की राजनीति में मुख्यमंत्री और तृणमूल कांग्रेस (TMC) सुप्रीमो ममता बनर्जी ने आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव को लेकर अपनी रणनीति पूरी तरह साफ कर दी है। ममता बनर्जी ने ऐलान किया है कि टीएमसी पश्चिम बंगाल में किसी भी दल के साथ गठबंधन किए बिना अकेले चुनाव लड़ेगी और भाजपा का मुकाबला अपने दम पर करेगी।
ममता बनर्जी का यह फैसला ऐसे समय में आया है, जब विपक्षी दलों के बीच संभावित गठबंधन को लेकर चर्चाएं तेज थीं। हालांकि, मुख्यमंत्री ने स्पष्ट कर दिया कि बंगाल में टीएमसी की जमीनी पकड़ इतनी मजबूत है कि उसे किसी सहारे की जरूरत नहीं है।
2021 चुनाव में TMC का अब तक का सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन
गौरतलब है कि 2021 के विधानसभा चुनाव में “खेला होबे” के नारे के साथ मैदान में उतरी टीएमसी ने ऐतिहासिक जीत दर्ज की थी। राज्य की 294 विधानसभा सीटों में से पार्टी ने 215 सीटों पर जीत हासिल कर प्रचंड बहुमत पाया था। वहीं, मुख्य विपक्षी दल भाजपा को 77 सीटों पर संतोष करना पड़ा था।
पिछले चुनावों में सीटों का गणित
टीएमसी का सियासी ग्राफ लगातार ऊपर जाता रहा है।
• TMC: 2016 में 211 सीटें - 2021 में 215 सीटें
• BJP: 2016 में 3 सीटें - 2021 में 77 सीटें
• कांग्रेस और वाम दल: 2021 में शून्य सीटें
इन आंकड़ों से साफ है कि भाजपा ने भले ही अपनी स्थिति मजबूत की हो, लेकिन टीएमसी की पकड़ अब भी राज्य की राजनीति में सबसे प्रभावशाली बनी हुई है।

नंदीग्राम में हार, फिर भी सत्ता में वापसी
2021 चुनाव का सबसे रोचक पहलू तब सामने आया, जब ममता बनर्जी खुद नंदीग्राम सीट से चुनाव हार गईं। भाजपा नेता शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने उन्हें करीब 1956 वोटों से हराया था। इसके बावजूद, टीएमसी को मिले भारी बहुमत के चलते ममता बनर्जी को विधायक दल का नेता चुना गया और उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री पद की शपथ ली। बाद में उन्होंने भवानीपुर उपचुनाव जीतकर विधानसभा की सदस्यता हासिल की।
कांग्रेस का लगातार गिरता जनाधार
पश्चिम बंगाल में कांग्रेस का ग्राफ तेजी से नीचे गिरा है। 2016 में जहां कांग्रेस को 44 सीटें मिली थीं और वह दूसरी सबसे बड़ी पार्टी थी, वहीं 2021 में पार्टी अपना खाता तक नहीं खोल पाई। भाजपा के उभार और टीएमसी की मजबूत पकड़ के बीच कांग्रेस और वाम दल पूरी तरह हाशिये पर चले गए।
इसी राजनीतिक पृष्ठभूमि में ममता बनर्जी का यह संदेश साफ है कि टीएमसी 2026 में भी अपने दम पर चुनाव लड़ेगी और भाजपा को सीधी चुनौती देगी।
