मुख्यमंत्री सम्राट चौधरी ने बिहार के हर ब्लॉक में मॉडल स्कूल खोलने का ऐलान किया है। राज्य में शिक्षा व्यवस्था को दुरुस्त करने और नई दिशा देने के लिए यह फैसला लिया गया है। उन्होंने ये दावा किया कि मॉडल स्कूल इतने बेहतर बनाए जाएंगे कि प्राइवेट और कॉन्वेंट स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले बच्चे नाम कटवाकर यहां एडमिशन लेंगे। राज्य सरकार का लक्ष्य गांव-गांव तक शिक्षा व्यवस्था को मजबूत बनाना है।
अपराध और भ्रष्टाचार पर सख्त संदेश
उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि बिहार की विरासत और ग्रामीण विकास को समझने के लिए हर अधिकारी महीने में कम से कम दो दिन गांव में जरूर रहें। हालांकि इस दौरान सीएम ने यह भी कहा कि अपराध को जाति से जोड़कर देखना गलत है, क्योंकि अपराधी की कोई जाति नहीं होती। उन्होंने कहा कि बिहार को बेहतर बनाने के लिए जातिवाद से ऊपर उठना होगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने साफ शब्दों में अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि अपराधी किसी भी जाति का हो, पुलिस 48 घंटे के भीतर कार्रवाई करेगी। भ्रष्टाचार करने वालों को सीधे बेउर जेल भेजा जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि बिहार जैसे बड़े राज्य को समृद्ध और विकसित बनाना ही हम सभी की जिम्मेदारी है। इसके लिए उद्योग जगत और आम लोगों को राज्य के विकास से भावनात्मक रूप से जुड़ना होगा।

वीर सावरकर जयंती समारोह में कांग्रेस पर निशाना
उसके बाद बिहार विधान परिषद में आयोजित वीर सावरकर की आज 143वीं जयंती समारोह में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वीर सावरकर ने राष्ट्रवाद को मजबूत करने का काम किया और उनके आदर्शों को बिहार में उतारने की जरूरत है। इस दौरान ‘वीर सावरकर की जीवनी’ पुस्तक का लोकार्पण भी किया गया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वह जल्द राष्ट्रपति से मुलाकात कर तिलका मांझी विश्वविद्यालय में तिलका मांझी की प्रतिमा के अनावरण का आग्रह करेंगे। इस दौरान उन्होंने कांग्रेस पर भी निशाना साधा और कहा कि आपातकाल लगाकर लोकतंत्र को खत्म करने का काम कांग्रेस ने किया था। वहीं सांसद शिवेश राम ने वीर सावरकर और बाबा साहेब आंबेडकर को देश को जोड़ने वाले नेता बताया, जबकि विधान परिषद सभापति अवधेश नारायण सिंह ने कहा कि सावरकर युवाओं के लिए प्रेरणा हैं।
